She has worked on numerous feature films, documentaries, and commercials, collaborating with some of the biggest names in Hollywood. Anya's expertise lies in lighting techniques, camera operation, and visual storytelling. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with aspiring cinematographers and helping them develop their unique artistic vision. Anya's teaching philosophy centers on hands-on learning and practical application, ensuring that her students are well-prepared for the challenges of the film industry. She holds a Master of Fine Arts in Cinematography from the American Film Institute (AFI) and is a member of the International Collective of Female Cinematographers (ICFC). Anya's most recent work includes the critically acclaimed independent film "Shadows of the City," which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival. She is currently working on a new documentary about the impact of artificial intelligence on the film industry. Directing & Storytelling Instructor
Ben Carter is an acclaimed director known for his captivating storytelling and exceptional ability to elicit powerful performances from actors. With a career spanning over two decades, Ben has directed several critically acclaimed independent films and television shows, earning numerous awards and accolades along the way. He is a master of script analysis, actor direction, blocking, and the overall art of bringing a story to life on screen. Ben's directing style is characterized by his collaborative approach, his deep understanding of human psychology, and his unwavering commitment to artistic integrity. He believes that the director's role is to create a safe and supportive environment where actors can take risks and explore their characters to the fullest. Ben holds a Bachelor of Arts in Film Production from the University of Southern California (USC) and is a member of the Directors Guild of America (DGA). His most notable works include the award-winning film "The Last Stand," which won Best Director at the Los Angeles Film Festival. Ben is currently developing a new television series for a major streaming platform.
